Working with a cross-department team, I helped lead the launch of the new Washburn Law website, ensuring a streamlined, recruitment-oriented user experience. Our mission was to move beyond the previous information-heavy format and develop a dynamic, modern site that would captivate prospective students and engage community members.
My Role and Contributions
As the project lead, I spearheaded initial research, conducting focus groups, surveys, competitor analysis, and studying marketing trends to inform the redesign.
My primary responsibilities included:
Information Architecture: I crafted a navigation system for both the public-facing site, designed to attract and inform, and a new internal site for faculty, staff, and current students, simplifying access to vital resources.
Design and Content Development: Collaborating with a web specialist, I laid out new pages, developed engaging content, and selected visuals the reflect Washburn Law’s values and mission.
Upon launch, I continue to provide support in site maintenance, enhancements, and content updates, ensuring the website remains relevant and impactful.
Impact
This redesign has transformed Washburn Law’s digital presence, offering a streamlined, user-focused experience that better serves prospective students, current students, and community members alike.
