Washburn Law Recruitment

For the 2024-25 admissions recruitment cycle, I collaborated with the Washburn Law Admissions team to enhance the school’s appeal to prospective students, integrating Washburn’s new branding across all recruitment touchpoints. My goal was to create a cohesive, visually compelling suite of materials that would simplify decision-making for students considering Washburn Law.

My Role and Contributions
I developed an “At a Glance” folded handout, consolidating and reimagining information from multiple sources into one transportable, organized piece. This handout now serves as an essential resource during Admissions events, streamlining communication and presenting Washburn Law’s strengths in a clear, engaging format.

For admitted students, I revamped the admit packet to offer a welcoming first impression., Gone were the formal letter and basic checklist. Instead, new admits now receive a personalized, visually appealing admit letter, a complementary letter with scholarship details, a redesigned checklist to guide them through the onboarding process, and a Washburn Law pennant, adding a touch of Washburn Law pride.

In addition, I collaborated with Admissions on a comprehensive communications plan that spans a range of touchpoints—from branded postcards with Washburn Law stickers to themed promotional items symbolizing a student’s journey (e.g., luggage tags, charging cords, and an overnight bag). Each item and email is carefully tailored to support students throughout the admissions process.

Impact
This suite of materials and tactics has unified our messaging, giving students a clear, connected experience with Washburn Law from inquiry to enrollment.
